by Mario Fischer, Amt Ordination Episkop Und Theologische Ausbildung Ministry Ordination Episkop And Theological Education Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. This volume documents three sets of findings by the CPCE which were accepted by the 2012 and 2018 General Assemblies. The report of the doctrinal conversation on "Ministry, Ordination, Episkope" defines the Protestant position on these issues, which are of vital ecumenical interest. At the same time, it seeks to deepen the church communion of CPCE member churches. This is also the aim of the studies "Training for the ordained ministry in the CPCE" and "Continuing education for the ordained ministry in the CPCE". They outline a common understanding of good training that the member churches can take as a guideline.

by Carl E. Savage, Narrative Research In Ministry Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Narrative Research In Ministry books, We are in a real sense, our stories. Who we are, what we think, and how we act are all shaped by the many large and small stories that make up the discourse embedded in our multi-sensory social experience. It is this postmodern understanding of identity and reality that has prompted the authors to fashion a new way of thinking about doing research in faith communities today, particularly through a Doctor of Ministry program. It is our belief that, in order for faith communities to define themselves and to know what to do in ministry, they must first understand the multiple stories which intersect with a given ministry situation in their specific context.

Reimagining Ministry PDF Full

by David Heywood, Reimagining Ministry Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Reimagining Ministry books, Reimagining Ministry offers an overview of mission and ministry in Britain for ordinands and practising clergy. It is intended as a contribution to thinking about ministry, in particular ordained ministry in the context of the social and cultural setting of the twenty-first century, several significant theological developments and a perception of the way God through the Holy Spirit is leading the church in Britain.Following an analysis of the situation in which ministry takes place, the author then invites his readers to consider a new and different paradigm of ministry for the church of the future. The groundwork for a new paradigm of ministry needs to include an account of the kingdom of God, which is the goal of mission; the role of the church in the mission of God; and, for reasons that will be developed briefly in the synopsis, individual discipleship and transformation.

Perspectives On Family Ministry PDF Full

by Timothy Paul Jones, Perspectives On Family Ministry Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Perspectives On Family Ministry books, In Perspectives on Family Ministry, Timothy Paul Jones makes the case that every church is called to some form of family ministry—but what he means by "family ministry" isn’t simply one more program to add to an already-packed schedule! According to Jones, the most effective family ministries involve refocusing every church process to engage parents in the process of discipling their children and to draw family members together instead of pulling them apart. Jones sets the stage with introductory chapters on the historical contexts and foundations of family ministry. Then, three effective practitioners show clearly how your church can make the transition to family ministry. Paul Renfro (pastor of discipleship at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas) writes in favor of Family-Integrated Ministry, where the emphasis is on intergenerational discipleship. Brandon Shields (minister to high school students at Highview Baptist Church, a multi-site megachurch in Kentucky and Indiana) supports Family-Based Ministry—ministry that organizes programs according to ages and interests but also develops intentional activities and training events to bring families together. Jay Strother (minister to emerging generations at Brentwood Baptist Church in Tennessee) prefers Family-Equipping Ministry, maintaining age-organized ministry while reorganizing the congregation to call parents to become active partners in the discipleship of their children.

From A Ministry For Youth To A Ministry Of Youth PDF Full

by Ruth Lukabyo, From A Ministry For Youth To A Ministry Of Youth Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download From A Ministry For Youth To A Ministry Of Youth books, At a time of unprecedented secularization and declining church attendance, youth ministry in the twenty-first century should be doomed. So why is Protestant youth ministry in Sydney vibrant, and in many places growing? This book sets out to answer this question, which is of such importance for the future of the Australian church. A pioneering model of youth ministry evolved in the 1930s and was already flourishing in churches, schools, and university by the 1950s. Its early high point was the Billy Graham Crusade of 1959, which may legitimately be seen as an Australian youth revival. The new model broke with past practice by cultivating ministry leadership by young people, by promoting peer groups to nurture and share faith, and by fostering ministry collaboration between young men and women. The model, used by theological conservatives and liberals alike, and has proved both enduring and fruitful. This book will engage with the model of youth ministry and the religious experiences of young people in Sydney. By reading it you will not only learn from the significant achievements of young people in the past but be better equipped to creatively consider new methods of ministry for the twenty-first century.

Welcoming Africa S Children Theological And Ministry Perspectives PDF Full

by Jan Grobbelaar, Welcoming Africa S Children Theological And Ministry Perspectives Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Welcoming Africa S Children Theological And Ministry Perspectives books, The purpose of this book is to combine perspectives of scholars from Africa on Child Theology from a variety of theological sub-disciplines to provide some theological and ministerial perspectives on this topic. The book disseminates original research and new developments in this study field, especially as relevant to the African context. In the process it addresses also the global need to hear voices from Africa in this academic field. It aims to convey the importance of considering Africa’s children in theologising. The different chapters represent diverse methodologies, but the central and common focus is to approach the subject from the viewpoint of Africa’s children. The individual authors’ varied theological sub-disciplinary dispositions contribute to the unique and distinct character of the book. Almost all chapters are theoretical orientated with less empirical but more qualitative research, although some of the chapters refer to empirical research that the authors have performed in the past. Most of the academic literature in the field of Child Theologies is from American or British-European origin. The African context is fairly absent in this discourse, although it is the youngest continent and presents unique and relevant challenges. This book was written by theological scholars from Africa, focussing on Africa’s children. It addresses not only theoretical challenges in this field but also provides theological perspectives for ministry with children and for important social change. Written from a variety of theological sub-disciplines, the book is aimed at scholars across theological sub-disciplines, especially those theological scholars interested in the intersections between theology, childhood studies and African cultural or social themes. It addresses themes and provides insights that are also relevant for specialist leaders and professionals in this field. No part of the book was plagiarised from another publication or published elsewhere.

The Ministry Vol 9 No 10 PDF Full

by Various Authors, The Ministry Vol 9 No 10 Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Ministry Vol 9 No 10 books, This issue of The Ministry contains the last nine messages given during the 2004 spring term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim, California. The general subject of this series of messages is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In a simple, basic way the God of Abraham is the God of justification, the God of Isaac is the God of grace, and the God of Jacob is the God of transformation through divine discipline. Messages 2 through 7 of the October 2005 issue of The Ministry presented the God of Abraham. Messages 8 and 9 of that issue presented the God of Isaac. In this issue Message 10 concludes the fellowship concerning the God of Isaac. Isaac signifies our living a life of enjoying God; hence, we live a grace-enjoying life for God's good pleasure. Messages 11 through 17 present the God of Jacob. The God of Jacob, who is the God of transformation, issues in the God of Israel, who is the God of the transformed Jacob. Message 18 presents the Israel of God. All the experiences of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, represented by the lives and experiences of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, are to produce this corporate person--the Israel of God. We do not have the experiences of the God of Abraham merely to be spiritual persons, we do not enter into the experiences represented by Isaac simply to be individuals enjoying God's grace in a personal way, and we do not go through all the experiences represented by Jacob's long life just to end up as spiritual individuals who have some spiritual stature. God desires a corporate person; He wants a people to express Him and represent Him. Last of all, we include a report concerning the Lord's move in the United Kingdom.

by Kenneth O. Gangel, Coaching Ministry Teams Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Coaching Ministry Teams books, In competitive sports we prize teamwork. We know that a mature team will usually beat an astounding collection of individual players. The burden of creating such esprit de corps falls to the coach and the team of leaders he has assembled. After all, a team without a coach cannot win. But what happens when the coach himself does not understand the dynamics of teamwork? In a similar manner, every leader of every church is a coach of sorts, with a ministry team responsible for the life of the church. The question put to you as a pastor is this: Are you a team player? Even more to the point: Whose team are you building?Too many church leaders, writes author Kenn Gangel, have fallen into the trap of personal kingdom-building, a focused concern on one's own and present ministry without a wider recognition of kingdom participation. The net effect of this condition has led to narrow vision, stunted church growth, and frustrated relationships within the body of Christ. In contrast, Gangel explores broad and penetrating support throughout the Word of God for team-based, inclusive, cooperative leadership. From Jethro's advice to Moses all the way to Jesus's approach to discipleship, biblical leadership is viewed as a tool to be shared--a model of servanthood, mentoring, and the mutual interdependence of gifts.Along the way Gangel explores the character attributes of successful biblical leadership--common things like humility, patience, and quiet dignity. From there he reveals how these qualities open an authentic leader up to the wide and thrilling possibilities of working hand-in-hand with others in the Lord's work...together.

by Ifeoma Eze, The Supernatural Ministry Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Supernatural Ministry books, The difference between a pastor and a lecturer is the word “supernatural.” Both the lecturer and the pastor stand before people to speak, but the difference in the both of them is the supernatural that accompanies the words of the pastor. It does not matter the size of a church, if it has a big cathedral without the supernatural, it is a warehouse. God told me many years ago that I am not a minister of information, but of the gospel. I have been called to preach the gospel, not to gossip. When a preacher preaches the gospel without power, he is a gossip. Without the supernatural ministry, every other thing is a joke. Do all you can to covet the supernatural in your ministry as a minister of the gospel.
