by David Usher, Let The Elephants Run Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Let The Elephants Run books, At David Usher's company, CloudID Creativity Labs, there is a sign on the wall that reads: "Dream big, let the elephants run!" The words are a reminder for us to hold a place in our minds for creativity, where big ideas can form and our imagination can run free. Based on his wildly popular speaking engagements, Let the Elephants Run shows us how to reignite creativity whether in the head office, the home office or the artist's studio. Usher believes creativity is in our DNA; it's in everyone, not just the creative class. We all start our lives as creative beings but for many that spark becomes lost over time. How do we jump-start our creative process as adults? What does it means to be a creative person? How do we follow through with our ideas and turn them into tangible outcomes? Usher empowers readers to achieve more "aha" moments through two cornerstone principles of creativity: freedom and structure. Using a mix of personal anecdotes and professional examples from the worlds of industry, technology, science, music and art, he shows us that creativity is not magic; it is a learnable skill that any person or business can master. The dynamic full-colour design includes photographs, artwork and illustrations, as well as action pages to help readers start cultivating the habit of documenting their ideas for future execution. Let the Elephants Run is an essential guidebook to reconnecting with our imaginations and nurturing our creativity in accessible and productive ways.

How To Pull Your Self Up By Your Bootstraps When You Have No Boots PDF Full

by Winston T. Hatch, How To Pull Your Self Up By Your Bootstraps When You Have No Boots Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download How To Pull Your Self Up By Your Bootstraps When You Have No Boots books, As I am writing this I realize some of the stories are a little fare out, might be difficult to believer, but I assure you they are all true, and I lived them. I used only first names to protect both the guilty, and innocent. I also vaguely de-scribed locations, and companies for the same reasons. I’m about to reach my 86th birthday, have been retired for over 20 years, and I doubt if anyone men-tioned is still alive. I started this book at the encouragement, and support of my Daughter to preserve the life of us old timers, who grew up in a world far different from what we have now. The amount of news, and information I am exposed to in one day now is about equal to what I was exposed to in a year when I was 8 years old, and World War 2 started. My story is not unique, it is only one of many, some far more interesting, and they’re disappearing rapidly as we pass on. I encourage these old timers to write them down or record them. But be prepared for as you write your life stories your going to almost relive them, your going to have time to think about them, when at the time you didn’t. Your views, and values may have change with time, and are now different. As I look back over my life I have had many successes, and failures. Your failures you remember, they hang around your neck forever, and influ-ence your life without you being aware of it. Your successes you soon forget, and assume that’s the way life’s supposed to be. The only successes I can take pride in is those of my Children, both of them have been immensely successful-ly, they both have traveled, and worked throughout the world. I and my Wife Pat have been blessed. I hope you enjoyed my life.

The Combinatory Systems Theory PDF Full

by Piero Mella, The Combinatory Systems Theory Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Combinatory Systems Theory books, This study adopts the logic of Systems Thinking and Control Systems, presenting a simple but complete theory called the Theory of Combinatory Systems. This new theory is able to describe, interpret, explain, simulate and control collective phenomena and their observable effects. Despite specific differences among these phenomena – many of which are “one way", non-repeatable or reproducible – they can all be described or explained, and thus understood, using the model, as simple as it is general, of combinatory systems; that is, systems formed by collectivities, or populations of non-connected and unorganized individuals of some species, which appear to be directed by an invisible hand that guides the analogous actions of similar individuals in order to produce an emerging collective phenomenon. Combinatory Systems function due to the presence of micro control systems which, operating at the individual level, lead to uniform micro behavior by individuals in order to eliminate the (gap) with respect to the objective that is represented – or revealed – by the global information (macro behavior or effect). The book also examines Combinatory Automata, which represent a powerful tool for simulating the most relevant combinatory systems. In stochastic combinatory automata, when both probabilities and periods of transition of state are agent/time/state sensitive, the probabilistic micro behaviors are conditioned by the macro behavior of the entire system, which makes the micro-macro feedback more evident. The Combinatory Systems Theory: Understanding, Modeling and Simulating Collective Phenomena is composed of four main chapters. Chapter 1 presents the basic ideas behind the theory, which are analysed in some detail. Chapter 2 describes the heuristic models of several relevant combinatory systems observable in different environments. Chapter 3, while not making particular use of sophisticated mathematical and statistical tools, presents the Theory of Combinatory Automata and builds models for simulating the operative logic of combinatory systems. Chapter 4 tries to answer three questions: are combinatory systems “systems” in the true sense of the term? Why is this theory able to explain so many and so varied a number of phenomena, even though it is based on a very simple modus operandi? Are combinatory systems different than complex systems? The book has been written with no prerequisite required to read and understand it, in particular math, statistics and computer knowledge.

When The Elephants Dance PDF Full

by Tess Uriza Holthe, When The Elephants Dance Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download When The Elephants Dance books, “Papa explains the war like this: ‘When the elephants dance, the chickens must be careful.’ The great beasts, as they circle one another, shaking the trees and trumpeting loudly, are the Amerikanos and the Japanese as they fight. And our Philippine Islands? We are the small chickens.” Once in a great while comes a storyteller who can illuminate worlds large and small, in ways both magical and true to life. When the Elephants Dance is set in the waning days of World War II, as the Japanese and the Americans engage in a fierce battle for possession of the Philippine Islands. Through the eyes of three narrators, thirteen-year-old Alejandro Karangalan, his spirited older sister Isabelle, and Domingo, a passionate guerilla commander, we see how ordinary people find hope for survival where none seems to exist. While the Karangalan family and their neighbors huddle together for survival in the cellar of a house, they tell magical stories to one another based on Filipino myth that transport the listeners from the chaos of the war around them and give them new resolve to continue fighting. Outside the safety of their refuge the war rages on—fiery bombs torch the countryside, Japanese soldiers round up and interrogate innocent people, and from the hills guerilla fighters wage a desperate campaign against the enemy. Inside the cellar, these men, women, and children put their hopes and dreams on hold as they wait out the war. This stunning debut novel celebrates with richness and depth the spirit of the Filipino people and their fascinating story and marks the introduction of an author who will join the ranks of writers such as Arundhati Roy, Manil Suri, and Amy Tan.

by Sharon Pincott, The Elephants And I Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download The Elephants And I books, A true story filled with both joy and foreboding, this portrait of Zimbabwe and its wildlife comes from an Australian woman who went as a tourist to Africa and then decided to leave her old life and live permanently in tumultuous Zimbabwe to work with elephants on land bordering Hwange National Park. Not a scientist, she wanted to observe elephant interaction informally, and this moving memoir describes how, in time, she and the elephants developed affectionate relationships with each other. As the beauty and wonder of the park became increasingly threatened by illegal snaring of wildlife and land invaders claimed the territory where her elephant herd roamed, she went into battle for the animals--and this compelling account reveals how she put her own survival at risk.
