Over the years he had done things such as carrying cash out of the United States to the Bahamas for the company. He never questioned his orders, but once he determined the company was a front for the Columbian drug cartel he decided to quit, but knew the cartel would never allow him to leave. He devised a plan to disappear and change his name. In his new life he opened an accounting and consulting office where he hired a pretty, young assistant. The Bluefin Seafood enforcers found him and killed his assistant. If they found him once, they could find him again. He decided to take the matter into his own hands after the enforcers attempted to kill him at his aircraft hangar. Assisted by a local fire captain with a military background he was able to fend off the attack but decided to return to Florida to take revenge on the fish processing company bosses. With the aid of a DEA agent, Mitch DeLong, he used information about Bluefin Seafood to find and end their drug importing business. New cartel bosses track him down once again to retaliate for their losses. It seems everyone is Getting Even.

by Bart Penders, Collaboration Across Health Research And Medical Care Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Collaboration Across Health Research And Medical Care books, Health research and health care practice are radically transforming as governments invest more in large scale, national and international health projects with increasing levels of interdisciplinarity as populations age and as nations grow wealthier. This volume examines the structures and dynamics of scientific collaboration in health research and health care. Bringing together detailed research from the US, Canada, Europe and Japan, Collaboration Across Health Research and Medical Care sheds light on the features, environments and relationships that characterise collaboration in health care and research, exploring changing patterns of collaboration and examining the causes and consequences of team work in the health domain. With attention to the increasingly porous boundaries between health care and research, the book not only investigates research settings, but also considers the manner in which knowledge produced in laboratories and clinics is translated into day-to-day medical and care practice and health initiatives. It offers a rich examination of the political, technical and organisational facets of collaboration and the implications of changes in collaboration for every day treatment and practice, Collaboration Across Health Research and Medical Care will be of interest to scholars of sociology and science and technology studies, as well as those working in the field of health policy and research.

by Rachel Pearson, No Apparent Distress A Doctor S Coming Of Age On The Front Lines Of American Medicine Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download No Apparent Distress A Doctor S Coming Of Age On The Front Lines Of American Medicine books, A brutally frank memoir about doctors and patients in a health care system that puts the poor at risk. No Apparent Distress begins with a mistake made by a white medical student that may have hastened the death of a working-class black man who sought care in a student-run clinic. Haunted by this error, the author—herself from a working-class background—delves into the stories and politics of a medical training system in which students learn on the bodies of the poor. Part confession, part family history, No Apparent Distress is at once an indictment of American health care and a deeply moving tale of one doctor’s coming-of-age.
